Keeping the bloggin going...

I sometimes wish I could have some really exciting things to blog about, and if I really thought about it, i could probably come up with some interesting stuff but I'm always posting right before I fall asleep.

Some new news, Jaden and Jana are both playing soccer now. Poor Javin I think feels a little left out. So we bring a ball just for Javin to their practices and I kick it around with him until he gets bored with it, which isnt' long. Jana was extremely hesitant in playing soccer until we made her at least go to her first practice. She did very well and since she feels like she is good at it she's all about playing soccer now. Jaden is cool with soccer and is still finishing up his last two basketball games as well. It turns out he's pretty atheletic and when he understands the game he really takes off with it. Question is now, are we ever going to put Jana in dance? Eh, I say martial arts would be better...hehe.

I'm pluggin along at school and so is Jen. My busy schedule just got busier at the radio station and I got a whole bunch of work dropped on me on a weekly basis in the form of uploading commericials into the playlist...dern it. I've honestly seriously thought about quitting the radio station. I love working there but I'm getting stretched thin. Two more people lost their jobs there and they really can't operate is I quit just because they're so short on people now so that's keeping me from making a decision. That and the fact that my program director for our Top 40 station is my DJ partner. But I really don't want to quit this job.

We've also been successful in booking more weddings which means mo money, mo money, mo money, mo!

The big thing coming up is me and Jen's cruise. We just booked some shore excursions tonight online and we'll get to go see some ancient Lamanite ruins...woohoo!

Valentines day was great. Me and Jen went to dinner and then went shopping for her traditional Valentines day gift. I also made her a slow songs CD with some voice tracks in between the songs of me doing a cheesy love song DJ voice on top of some mood music. It's pretty hilarious and it worked well because she was laughing so hard all her make up was running before we got to dinner.

Thanks for reading...proud to blog.

Can't sleep...why?

I'm currently trying to fall asleep because I have a BUSY weekend ahead of me. So I figured blogging about it might make me tired so that I can avoid taking my sleeping medicine. New year

So 2010 has started showing a positive outlook. I'm still going to school and Jen and I went back last week. Thankfully I'm not taking any filthy science classes. Actually, I'm DONE with science. I squeaked by my anatomy and physiology class with a D but that is passing here, so Woohoo! Even though I changed my major from nursing to mass communication I've decided that I'm more than likely going to end up in a federal law enforcement career. So a major change to criminal justice or psychology may be in order with a minor whichever out of those two I decide not to major in. We'll see how it plays out.

Me and another DJ, Dave Roberts from the radio station, bought a table at a bridal show and advertised our services as wedding DJ's. So far I believe we have 10 weddings booked. It may prove to add more stress to my already hectic schedule but we make really good money doing this. So i'm hoping we can do well and get a reputation for us. I'm only worried about it affecting my dispatch job since I work nights and will need someone to cover me while I do the weddings.

I finally started going back to the gym and after going with Jen for two weeks straight I started having some SEVERE abdominal pains. So bad that I ended up going to the ER one night. They had to give me two doses of morphine to kill the pain. I had x-rays and blood tests as well as a sonogram I paid $500 for and they all showed nothing. I now have to go to a regular physician and find out what is going on. It happened on 4 different occasions and hasn't hit me in a while. But I really don't want to wait for it to happen again.

Jaden is finishing up his basketball season and we signed him and Jana both up for soccer. I'm more excited about this since I can practice at home with them both whereas I had not 8ft basketball goal to practice with Jaden during his basketball season. He has improved a lot since playing. He steals the ball every chance he gets, dribbles really well and isn't afraid to take shots on goal even though he hasn't made any shots during a game. I'm sure he'll do fine in soccer too, but Jana on the other hand, if she doesn't like something it's hard to get her to do it. So hopefully she likes soccer. Javin is being a little booger and testing the waters on what he can or cannot do around the house. We also incorporated scripture reading with our nightly prayer and songs and it seems to be doing well.

Jen and I are getting geared up for our cruise that we are taking in March for our 7th anniversary. We're really excited, especially since I've been bugging her for us to take and actual vacation/honeymoon ever since we've been married. We hope to come back tan and relaxed. The kiddos are going to be staying with my mom and sisters for the 5 days we are away. The cruise goes down to Cozumel from Galveston with Carnival cruise.

I'm tired of typing so Holla!

Holidays...

We went and watched the new Disney movie today, The Princess and the Frog (I think that's the name), it wasn't too bad. I actually enjoyed it, plus it wasn't too long or overdrawn out like a lot of the movies tend to be nowadays. the weather has been pretty nice too, averaging somewhere in the 50's during the day.

I've actually had several more days off of work. I took off some time at work in hopes of taking a small vacation which got shot down really quick, but since i needed the break anyways I took it. We'll see how things go on whether I should have taken it or not. I've realized that I love to do things spur of the moment and though other people don't, they just never plan anything.

Anyways, I though I should write in here since I haven't in forever. If this all sounds funny or doesn't make sense it's becuase I'm tired...g'night.

Pictures

Okay, so I am really horrible about posting pictures on the internet. I have limited time on the computer and it takes forever to post pics, at least for me it does. I blame my computer...it's slow, old, and always screwing up. We have so many pics and songs i'm sure it's slowing down the memory. Or at least that is what we thought, we got a.....eh who cares about what's actually wrong with it...it's a piece of crap the thankfully works well enought to get on the internet.

Javin skin has gotten worse. He is starting to scratch until he bleeds. We have a prescription lotion we use with other stuff but that poor kid got his father's skin. I had real dry skin as a kid and scratched until it bled.

Since Jen and her friends have gotten together, I started thinking about how cool it would be to have a massive party with as many people I know or knew. I wonder how I could do that and if I could pull it off.

My parents got back from Hawaii and had a blast. Except for my poor dad whose back got worse and he now has to have surgery.

All for now...
Love

Fun weekend

I've been slacking on my post lately, sorry. But i'm sure you can all relate as we all get busy.

This past weekend Jen's friends from high school, Kathleen, Ingrid, and Sharon came in for their now almost annual reunion. I must admit that it was a lot of fun, even though I was the only guy. But those of you who know me will already know that me being the only guy is something I don't have a problem with :) Anyways, we spent some time up here in Wichita Falls hanging out and having a good time. Kathleen brought her son Tyler who we met for the first time. He seemed to have quite a bit of fun. Only, we had to keep him and Javin seperated at times before they turned into battle royale. All in all, six trips to and from the DFW airport, but it was well worth it. We stayed several days at my parents house so we didn't have to commute so much from WF to DFW airport. We went to Dave and Busters Saturday night and the girls got addicted to a game the gave you tickets for knocking coins off into the bottom of the machine. Altogether we got about 12,000 tickets. I've never seen so many tickets before...geez. Of course, they didn't come without a monetary cost, but it was a lot of fun. I'll have to post pics later, by stealing them from Kathleen and Ingrid's Facebook albums, cuz right now, I have to go to work...ugh.

love,

Only for chicken lovers

Well, right now it is almost 2am and I have to be at the radio station to learn how to work the morning talk shows at 5am. I'm kind of wired even though I woke up at 8am this morning. I will definately be up for over 24 hours (what is now becoming a regular occurance, but enough whining) before I go to sleep. We're excited this week because we have some friends coming in to visit. Jen's friends from high school, Kathleen, Ingrid, and possibly Sharon. I'm really impressed at how well they keep up with each other, yet don't smother each other. Plus it is always fun when I'm the only guy in a room full of beautiful women :) (Jaden and Javin aren't men yet, but will definately have the girls' attention). So it will be fun driving back and forth to the airport and hanging out. I love catching up with friens, just so you know, if you are friends of my wife, I inherited you as my friends in marraige...sucker.

Jana apparently has become lil miss cute and reverent at church. Jen and I have been really proud of her. She sits so still and quiet it's amazing. Jaden is a little bit more raucous but not too bad. Jen and I are struggling to help him learn patience. Poor kid gets so upset when things don't go his way and if he ever loses any game, get ready for the waterworks. Javin is still the little goof. His new thing now is putting his head on the floor and sticking a leg in the air while saying "cool, cool tricks!" We really want to take the kids somewhere but Javin absolutely hates being in the car. Since we have a Prius, his screaming sounds like it's right in your ear.

Poor Jaden felt rejection by a girl for the first time the other day. This little girl named Isabella is in his class and he asked her to marry him but she said she was marrying someone else. Poor kid, and he hasn't forgotten it yet. He still brings it up. But I was quick to remind him he was supposed to marry Twila Stout. That way, he never has to date, just get married. We even have an arrangement with between Jana and Christian Otero. Now we just need to find Javin a wife and we have the whole dating problem solved!

I also had a GREAT remote last friday at Stripes, a gas station, for 106.3 the Buzz. I had a slush drinking contest to see who could drink a 32 oz slush in 4 minutes, no one did, and a sno-ball eating contest. I had a blast messing with people. I hate just sitting there doing nothing. My take on live remotes is that the DJ needs to interact with everyone, play games and mess with them so that people will want to come out. Apparently, I impressed the right people and I will hopefully have some more remotes coming my way. They pay good, so I'm excited. I'm especially thankful for Aaron, my bro-in-law, because he hooked me up with a chance to talk to the right people at the station to get the job in the first place. And thanks to him, and Heavenly Father, I actually have a job i LOVE to go to and do.
